Kathmandu. The Front Line Socialist Party of Sri Lanka has Condemned the Arrests of Revolutionary Socialists in Turkey. it has issued the following statement –
The Front Line Socialist Party strongly condemns the unlawful and unjustarrests of 34 revoltionary socialists in Turkey, including Hatice Deniz
Aktaş (Co-Chair of the Ezilenlerin Sosyalist Partisi -ESP), Tanya Kara
(Spokesperson of the Socialist Women’s Assemblies – SKM), and Berfin
Polat (Co-Chair of the Socialist Youth Associations Federation – SGDF).
These arrests, carried out as part of a politically motivated crackdown by
the Turkish fascist state, are a blatant attack on the fundamental democratic
rights of political activists, socialists, women, and youth.
These arrests are part of the Turkish state’s ongoing repression of socialist
and antifascist movements, aiming to silence resistance against its oppressive
policies. We stand in full solidarity with our comrades who continue to fight
for justice and socialism despite state persecution.
We demand the immediate release of all arrested activists and call upon
progressive forces worldwide to raise their voices against this injustice.
The struggle for freedom and socialism cannot be suppressed by repression!
