Kathmandu. Revolutionary United Front of Nepal (RUFN) has opposed Isarael’s Inhumanitarian act . Pari Thapa,General Secretary of Revolutionary United Front of Nepal (RUFN) Central Committee has issued a Press Statement on 30 July 2025. The Press Statement remains as below –
” We wish to express our profound concern regarding the alarming actions taken by the armed forces of the State of Israel, specifically the unauthorized seizure of the ship Handala, which was transporting an aid package to the war-affected Palestinian population. Furthermore, we condemn the unlawful detention of 19 volunteers and 2 journalists from 12 different countries, including Comrade Hatem Laouini, the Deputy Chief Coordinator of ICOR, in international waters, approximately 40 nautical miles off the Israeli coast, on 25 July 2025.
Following the seizure of the vessel and the arrest of all individuals onboard, Israeli authorities have transferred them to an undisclosed location, where they have been detained and interrogated. The authorities have coerced them into opting for voluntary deportation or remaining in detention. Such actions represent a significant infringement upon the rights of freedom of navigation in international waters and the right of individuals onboard to access the Gaza Strip to assist the Palestinian populace, which is currently facing dire circumstances. These actions by Israel reveal its true nature to the global community.
We hereby condemn, in the strongest possible terms, the atrocities committed by Israel and demand the immediate and unconditional release of all individuals in detention. We call for respect for their rights and insist that they be permitted to reach the war-torn Gaza Strip to provide much-needed aid. Additionally, we urge the authorities of all 12 countries—Australia, France, Iraq, Israel, Italy, Morocco, Norway, Spain, Sweden, Tunisia, the United Kingdom, and the United States—to exert diplomatic pressure on Israel for the safety and release of their citizens at the earliest opportunity.
We extend our unwavering support and solidarity to the Palestinian people’s struggle for a sovereign and independent state of Palestine, and we demand the immediate withdrawal of Israeli forces from Palestinian territories and an end to the Israeli occupation. We honor the sacrifices made by the Palestinian people in their pursuit of sovereignty and independence against their oppressors. We are confident that the Palestinian people will ultimately prevail in their just struggle against the Zionist regime, supported by U.S. imperialism and its allies, sooner or later.
