MLPD strongly protests the arrest of Purna Bahadur Khadka and other comrades,

The Marxist Leninist Party of Germany (MLPD) strongly protests the arrest of Purna Bahadur Khadka, member of the Central Committee of the RCPN, and other comrades, so: – Karna Shahi and Ratna Oli, Central Committee Members of the Revolutionary Communist Party, Nepal; – David Pariyar and Shyam Kuwar, Central Commitee Members of the Scientific-Socialist Communist Party of Nepal – Raj Poudel, District Secretary of the Communist Party of Nepal (Majority) – Rajubhai, the District Coordinator of the Scientific-Socialist Communist Party in Siraha District. They were all arrested in the exercise of their political activity, for an electoral boycott which is necessary in their opinion and which they had jointly agreed upon. These arrests violate the freedom of expression and the press guaranteed in your constitution. We demand the unconditional and immediate release of all these comrades. Here, comrades are arrested who are committed to Nepal’s sovereignty and repeatedly reveal how imperialist countries such as India and, above all, the U.S., exert comprehensive influence on the political developments in Nepal. These arrests give cause for great concern that the elections announced for 5 March are not free and without repression. It is urgently necessary that the backgrounds of the murders of the students during the protests in September and the instigators of the extensive destruction in the whole country be uncovered. There are now many indications that infiltration and leadership of the so-called “Gen-Z movement” has taken place by U.S. and Indian institutions and Parliament has accordingly been dissolved. In the interest of Nepal’s sovereignty and the interests of the people of Nepal, all direct and indirect influence of India, the U.S.A., the EU and China must be exposed and fought. For the immediate release of all those arrested.
