To all ICOR organizations
Dear comrades!
Today I have some very good news for you. In a long video call with Dr. Rafaat, the
director of the Al-Awda Health Network in Gaza, he shared the following: our planned
construction project for a health center cannot start at this time.
But:
There is a huge need for medical professionals and limited opportunities to enter the
country. They need doctors, nurses, midwives … English language skills are sufficient;
Arabic is not necessary in the medical field. They will provide accommodation and do their
best to ensure safety.
My goal is that by December 1, we will be able to submit a list of willing medical personnel
from as many ICOR countries as possible to Gaza. To do this, I need your application by
November 25 with the following complete information:
1. All data from your passport
2. Profession, medical knowledge and experience
3. Possible duration of stay
If applicants are not members of ICOR parties, please indicate this separately, check their
reliability and certify this to ICOR.
The procedure is as follows: ICOR gives the list to Al-Awda. Al-Awda gives it to the WHO,
with whom they work closely. The WHO negotiates with representatives of the Israeli
government. They alone decide who is accepted.
There is currently no other option!
This means that applicants must be aware that their names and data will be known to
Israel and they must also be aware of the continuing tense security situation in Gaza. But
they are very, very urgently needed and Al-Awda trusts us to provide manpower.
Dear comrades!
We have already prepared a lot for the brigades as part of our solidarity pact with Al-Awda.
We have always promised that when the opportunity arises, we will be ready. That
opportunity is now, and we will undoubtedly fulfill our promise.
Please feel free to write to me with any questions, uncertainties, or doubts you may have.
After consulting with Al-Awda, I will answer you as quickly as possible, but this may take
some time.
