In this context party heartily calls on the entire revolutionaries to wage ruthless ideological and political struggle against and defeat the right revisionism deeply rooted in the communist movement of Nepal, unite the genuine communists to build a strong centre, and resolutely go ahead to scientific socialism after crossing a step of the new democratic revolution.
Full part of statement -Today, Baisakh 9, 2082 B.S., correspondingly April 22, 2025, is a day of historical importance. Exactly 76 years before, the Communist Party of Nepal was founded under the leadership of Comrade Pushpalal on Lenin’s 80th birthday, April 22, 1949. Thus, this day holds a special significance not only for the Nepalese communist movement but also for the world communist movement. On this historic occasion, we express our heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to the entire party ranks, martyrs, wounded and disappeared warriors, revolutionary people and international fraternal parties, including the proletariat of the world.
Today, the Nepalese communist movement has entered its 77th year. During this period, undergoing the process of unity-struggle and transformation, the Nepalese communist movement is moving ahead amid a series of higher levels of unity on the new basis, or through splits. In the meantime, people’s war and various types of mass movements and mass struggles have taken place in Nepal. The formation of the seven division of the People’s Liberation Army and the practice of people’s power in the vast areas of the countryside were outstanding developments of the Nepalese communist movement. However, it has become a matter of history today. The dream of the Nepalese people to be free from the exploitation, oppression and suppression of comprador and bureaucratic capitalism and feudalism, and imperialism and Indian expansionism has not been fulfilled. Counter-revolution has prevailed in Nepal. Right revisionism has been the main obstacle to the Nepalese revolution.
The Nepalese parliament have a majority of right opportunists named as communists. Sometimes single or sometimes in alliance with other bourgeois parties, the so-called communist parties have very often provided leadership to the Nepalese government. But ironically, major treason and genocide have been committed under their leadership or support. Treasonous agreements like the MCC have been approved by the parliament with the pretence of interpretive declarations. No Nepalese government has spoken a single word against the Indian encroachment on Nepalese territories, including Limpiyadhura, Lipulekh and Kalapani. The limited democratic rights the people have gained on the basis of the people’s war and the strength of the mass movement, are being gradually snatched. Unemployment is rampant, corruption is beyond control, inflation has skyrocketed, the economic crisis is deepening, and the country is devoid of young populace. The parliamentarian party leaders have turned into agents of imperialism and Indian expansionism. Not only the declared bourgeoisie, but also the so-called communist parties have propped up neoliberalism and thus relinquished the Nepalese economy to the clutches of imperialism. A handful of comprador bourgeoisie are getting richer, but the country is becoming poorer and more dependent day by day. It is the obvious result of the reactionary nature of the Nepalese state power, the character of the parliamentary system and the failure of the parliamentary parties.
In today’s explosive situation, when the Nepalese people are looking for a political alternative after the failure of the state power, the system and the parliamentary parties, the regressive forces have attempted to raise their heads by misleading the masses. However, this is only their daydream. The wheel of history always moves forward, never turns back. This is the law of history. The solution to the current awful situation is neither regression nor the status quo but a forward-looking radical change; that is, the establishment of the Federal People’s Republic of Nepal. For this, it is an imperative need of the day to move forward, being free from the incitement of regressive elements and the illusions spread by the status quoist forces. No other party can lead this kind of forward-looking change; only a true revolutionary Communist Party guided by Marxism-Leninism-Maoism can do it.
